Miscellaneous bits

1. There’s no such thing as an unreliable person. Think about it.
2. When I die, I want my tombstone to say: “Hold down the fort for me, peeps.”
3. I’m going to have to stop eating Triscuits for a while…

… I just can no longer tolerate Rachael Ray’s menacing mug on the box, taunting me with her evil mind-beamed messages of “bwahahaha, I make millions spreading little bits of edible stuff on Triscuits, just because people love my infectious smile so doggone much!”
Infectious indeed. Remind you of anyone?

If you rely on someone to do something out of character, atypical, or above their usual standard, then yeah, they’ll disappoint you — but only because you were deluding yourself in the first place. I’m just saying people are “constants” in a way. It’s something you see in the notes screen at any customer service job: if a person is belittling you and blaming you for all their current problems, scroll up three years and they were doing the same thing back then. So whatever behavior you want to see somebody exhibit, go find someone that’s already been exhibiting that behavior. Fire is hot, water is wet, you know the drill.
